There are several things that you can use to
add pizzazz to your blog but nothing really
hits a home run quite like using funny
emoticons to help express your emotions and
thoughts.
Blogs have definitely swamped the Internet,
and no matter what your blog is about, there
are always other sites competing for the same
visitors.
One way you can make your log standout from the others is to
tastefully use funny emoticons.
There are many web sites on line which offer free downloads
all the various types of emoticons, some of which are sure to
suit your tastes. I will give you one word of caution when
downloading anything from the Internet. Be sure that you scan
any files that you download with an updated antivirus program.
Never download any exe files that purport to be funny emoticons
files, as you can bet that it is a Trojan program just waiting
for you to set it loose on your computer.
One of the safest ways to get funny emoticons is to get them
from a site which allows you to simply right-click on the image
and save it directly to your desktop. This way you know in fact
that the file is actually an image file and not a wolf in
sheep's clothing. While this might not be the fastest way to
download funny emoticons to your computer, it is one way to
protect yourself from malicious content. Another upside to
getting your funny emoticons this way is that you get to see
exactly what you are getting before you download it. This
allows for selective downloading of the images and does not
require you to fill your hard drive with unwanted images.
Another way to get funny emoticons is to create them
yourself. There are several shareware as well as freeware
programs available for download which will allow you to create
emoticons with ease. If you happen to already own a copy of
Photoshop, then you already have all the software you need to
create professional looking funny emoticons. Of course you can
always ask a friend who has Photoshop to create your funny
emoticons for you.
When using the funny emoticons on your blog, be tasteful in
their applications and do not overdo it. You can go from
pizzazz to tacky very quickly if you do not use them sparingly
and with good judgment.
One final note, be certain that you carefully read the terms
of use on any web site from which you download any
funny emoticons or other images so that you
will not be in violation of any one else's copyrights. It would
be a shame to have a great-looking blog only to have to take it
down because you got sued for copyright infringement.
