Free animated emoticons can
help save a lot of confusion and possibly even
a few hurt feelings when communicating
online.
If you do a lot of online communication, you
may have noticed that sometimes you are not
sure what people mean in their email messages.
You may get to the end of a sentence and find
yourself scratching your head.
It isn’t that the words didn’t come across as readable, but
you aren’t sure exactly how they meant what they wrote.
Were they joking?
Are they mad?
Are they trying to insult you?
Reading a message is different than having a face-to-face
conversation. It’s not always easy to tell when you just get
words and don’t hear the inflection of the voice to go with
them. This may have been one of the reasons animated emoticons
came about.
Initially emoticons were created as a quick way to convey a
feeling. If you could just pop a smiley face into an e-mail or
text message it was much easier than typing out a message
letting someone know you were happy. But eventually they
progressed to a new level of supportive communication, helping
to make written messages more clear.
Emoticons allow the person writing the message to add a
little smiley face with personality to the end of a sentence,
giving the person reading the correspondence a look at the kind
of feelings that were behind the words.
Animated emoticons take these faces to a new level; by not
only being a cute thing to look at, but also having some sort
of action, to make them cute animated faces. For example, a
joking emoticon may keep winking his eye at you, or an angry
emoticon may keep furrowing his eyebrows. There’s no
questioning the feeling that goes with these characters.
While many people think to be able to add creative pieces of
art to their e-mail would cost a lot, there are plenty of free
animated emoticons out on the Internet that can be used by
anyone to take their communication to a new, and clearer,
level.
Not only are these emoticons regular smiley faces with
different expressions, but also many people have decided there
should be themed emoticons. Some themes offer different animals
or types of people, each with the various expressions, which
can be used to accent your written messages.
Writing to friends on a holiday? For Valentine’s Day you
should be able to find heart-shaped emoticons with cute faces.
How about bunny or Easter egg themed emoticons around Easter?
Or even a snowman or Christmas tree emoticon to add to your
letters around Christmastime.
While many people are very clear in their communication, you
don’t want to have someone at the other end of your message get
their feelings hurt because they didn’t understand your
communication. Free animated emoticons are a
perfect way to accent your words and make sure your message is
clear, while also adding a fun and colorful flair to the
text.
